Lent is a period of forty days (not counting Sundays) between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday. During Lent, Christians around the world remember the time that Jesus spent in the wilderness when he resisted temptation and chose instead to seek after the will of his father. We recognize the ways in which we are tempted to choose our own ways, and are reminded of God’s call on us to follow after Jesus.
At Holy Trinity, we find that people get more out of the celebration of Easter if they have first participated in a time of preparation beforehand. Easter seems to come to life even more as we journey together through Lent and through the events that Jesus experienced leading up to his death and resurrection.
This year there will be a number of ways in which you are invited to participate in Lenten preparation. Please feel free to click on any of the links below to find out more of what will be going on at Holy Trinity during the season of Lent.
